Synopsis:
Cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) offers a multitude of insights into cardiovascular diseases by providing information on morphology, function, tissue characterization, and blood flow. The clinical uses of CMR have expanded rapidly, with evidence of applicability for all types of cardiovascular disease. CMR remains a technically complicated imaging modality, however, with extensive experience limited to a small number of referral centres. Furthermore, cardiovascular physicians are often insufficiently aware of its capabilities. This atlas, devoted to the diverse clinical applications of CMR, presents numerous vivid case examples drawn from more than 7000 CMR studies performed by an outstanding CMR unit over a period of six years.
